Type A ground-fault circuit interrupter
Discover our selection of type A ground-fault circuit interrupters, designed to enhance electrical safety for people in residential or commercial distribution panels. Unlike type AC, type A detects alternating-current faults and pulsed direct currents generated by certain electronic devices. Its use is recommended and, in residential settings, is specifically required by the NF C 15-100 standard for dedicated circuits powering a cooktop, a stove, or a washing machine. Installed upstream of the branch circuit breakers, the 30 mA ground-fault circuit interrupter cuts off the power supply in the event of a dangerous current leak.
