Discover the Hager day/night contactors, designed to automatically control an electric water heater during off-peak hours. Installed in the electrical panel on a DIN rail, they receive the rate command from the meter—specifically via the C1/C2 contact of a smart meter—in order to heat the hot water tank at the most cost-effective time. We recommend using them with a peak/off-peak rate plan to limit daytime consumption and maintain the option of forced operation when hot water needs to be produced occasionally outside the scheduled time frame.
