Discover Schneider day/night contactors—off-peak contactors designed to automatically control the power supply to an electric water heater from the electrical panel. Mounted on a DIN rail, they receive a command via the dry contact of the electric meter or an energy management system, and then supply power to the water heater during off-peak rate periods. We recommend using them with a peak/off-peak electricity plan to limit the heater's operation to the least expensive times of day; depending on the model and wiring, forced operation may also be possible. Select the current, coil voltage, and number of poles that are appropriate for your installation.
